WhatsApp API Reseller Program in India (2026): How Agencies Build Recurring Revenue

What a WhatsApp Business API reseller program is, how Botify's white-label Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers work (₹4,999–₹24,999/month, 40–50% off list), and the margin maths behind recurring agency revenue.

By Ramnath G

If you run a digital-marketing agency in India, you have probably already set up WhatsApp Business API for a client — and then watched the platform provider collect the subscription every month while you collected a one-time setup fee. A reseller program flips that. You bring the client, you keep the relationship, and you earn on the subscription every month the client stays. This guide explains how WhatsApp API reseller programs work, what Botify's tiers cost, and how to work out whether the maths makes sense for your agency.

What is a WhatsApp API reseller program?

WhatsApp Business API is not sold by Meta directly to small businesses; it is delivered through Business Solution Providers (BSPs) such as Botify. A reseller program lets a third party — usually an agency, IT firm or marketing consultant — sell that BSP's platform to its own clients. At Botify the reseller program is a white-label wholesale programme: you buy each client account at a discount to Botify's list price, sell it under your own brand at a price you decide, and keep the difference.

Three things separate it from a plain referral: you manage the client accounts yourself, you earn on the recurring subscription rather than a one-time bounty, and the platform carries your brand — your domain, logo, colours and company name — on every tier.

The ways to earn with Botify

  • Affiliate: share a referral link and earn 10% commission on every business that subscribes, for its first 12 months. No fee, ₹999 minimum payout, paid quarterly.
  • Certified Partner: free training and certification, then a 15–20% recurring margin for selling, setting up and supporting clients on the Botify brand.
  • White-label reseller: pay a monthly platform fee, buy client accounts at 40–50% off list, sell them under your own brand at your own prices and invoice your clients yourself.

The rest of this article is about the third option, because that is where agencies build a real recurring revenue line under their own name.

Botify white-label reseller tiers in 2026

Every tier is white-label. All prices exclude 18% GST:

  • Silver (starting out) — ₹4,999/month platform fee, up to 15 active clients, 40% off list. Sell Starter and Growth plans (WhatsApp, SMS, Email). Monthly contract, ₹10,000 opening wallet, admin panel ₹30,000 one-time.
  • Gold (growing agency) — ₹9,999/month, 16–50 active clients, 45% off list. Sell all plans on all 5 channels, adding RCS and AI Voice Agent. 12-month contract, ₹10,000 opening wallet, admin panel ₹30,000 one-time.
  • Platinum (large network) — ₹24,999/month, unlimited clients, 50% off list. All plans plus Ads Manager (Google and Meta ads). 12-month contract, ₹25,000 opening wallet, admin panel included, a named partner manager and inbound leads.

Every tier also has a ₹14,999 one-time brand launch fee — domain and SSL set-up, your logo, colours and company details, two training sessions and your first 3 clients' WhatsApp onboarded. It is waived if you prepay 12 months of platform fee. You can move up a tier any time and move up automatically at your 16th and 51st active paying client (trials don't count); you move down only at contract renewal.

What each client costs you

Each active client account is billed to you at a wholesale price per month (Botify list → Silver / Gold / Platinum):

  • Starter, ₹1,499 → ₹899 / ₹824 / ₹750
  • Growth, ₹3,499 → ₹2,099 / ₹1,924 / ₹1,750
  • Pro, ₹6,999 → Gold and up / ₹3,849 / ₹3,500
  • Enterprise, ₹29,999 → Gold and up / ₹16,499 / ₹15,000

Ads Manager on Pro and Enterprise client accounts needs Platinum. Annual plans are 10 months of the monthly price at the same discount. You pay only for active paid clients — a client in its 7-day free trial costs you nothing.

The maths: what you keep

You set your own client prices. On a Growth client charged at Botify's list price of ₹3,499 a month, you keep ₹1,400 on Silver, ₹1,575 on Gold and ₹1,750 on Platinum. Charge ₹4,499 and that becomes ₹2,400, ₹2,575 and ₹2,750.

After the platform fee, with every client on Growth, monthly profit looks like this (charging ₹3,499 / charging ₹4,499):

  • Silver, 10 clients — ₹8,997 / ₹18,997
  • Silver, 15 clients — ₹15,995 / ₹30,995
  • Gold, 25 clients — ₹29,365 / ₹54,365
  • Gold, 50 clients — ₹68,728 / ₹1,18,728
  • Platinum, 100 clients — ₹1,49,951 / ₹2,49,951

That is before any markup on usage and before your own service fees — and it is an illustration, not a promise of income. The number of clients you sign and keep, and the plans they choose, decide the outcome.

Messages and calls

Usage is never discounted. You buy messages and calls at Botify list rates from a prepaid partner wallet and may charge your clients up to 25% more. In India a WhatsApp marketing message costs you ₹0.93 (charge up to ₹1.16), a utility or OTP message ₹0.20 (up to ₹0.25), a transactional SMS ₹0.14 (up to ₹0.17), an RCS message ₹0.30 (up to ₹0.37), and email ₹30 per 1,000 (up to ₹37.50).

What your clients actually get

A reseller program only works if the product is worth buying. Under your account, each client gets a separate workspace on your branded platform:

  • WhatsApp Business API — broadcasts, templates, chatbots, team inbox, catalog and payments in chat
  • DLT-compliant Bulk SMS and Email on every tier; RCS and AI Voice Agent from Gold; Google and Meta Ads Manager on Platinum
  • AI Agent that answers enquiries, qualifies leads and books meetings 24/7
  • No-code chatbot builder, Content Studio and analytics
  • Botify Assistance (MCP), so clients can connect ChatGPT or Claude to their workspace

WhatsApp messages show your client's own business name, and you don't need a Meta app of your own. You are the first line of support — sales, demos, onboarding, campaigns, templates, chatbots and client billing. Botify is the second line — platform uptime and updates, WhatsApp/Meta escalations, SMS, DLT, RCS and voice routing, and partner training.

Billing and protections

  • On the 1st, Botify invoices you in advance for the platform fee plus every active client; GST is claimable as input credit. Mid-month clients are prorated.
  • You invoice your own clients with your own GSTIN — a GSTIN is required to join.
  • An unpaid invoice gets 7 days' grace; then new-client creation pauses, but existing clients keep sending.
  • Botify never approaches your clients during the agreement and for 12 months after it.
  • There is no per-client set-up fee and no share of your own service income.

How onboarding works

  1. Apply — share your GSTIN and client profile, and sign the partner agreement.
  2. Get certified — free training and a test for your team.
  3. Brand set-up — your domain, logo and colours.
  4. Fund your wallet.
  5. Go live — Botify onboards your first 3 clients' WhatsApp with you.

Reseller or franchise?

Agencies sometimes ask about the district franchise instead. The difference is territory and structure. A franchise is an exclusive district partnership with an upfront investment — ₹5,00,000 for the full six-channel suite or ₹1,00,000 per channel, excluding 18% GST — and a 30% recurring revenue share. A white-label reseller pays a monthly platform fee, has no territory, sells under its own brand and sets its own prices. If you want exclusivity in your district, read the franchise guide. If you already have clients across several cities, reselling is the more natural fit.
